History

Théorêt Paving Inc. is a family owned and operated business that has successfully transcended its knowledge and expertise for generations. Today, the company has secured itself as a leader in the region, stemming from the Théorêt family's long entrepreneurial involvement.

  • In 1960, Mr. Laurent Théorêt founded Laurent Théorêt Ltée et fils with the acquisition of a sandpit in Saint-Polycarpe.
  • In 1967, Mr. Théorêt lauched an asphalt and paving division, and changed the company's name to Théorêt Paving Ltée.
  • In 1969, the company secured its first snow removal contract from Mc Callum Transport.
  • In 1974, in addition to snow removal contracts for private companies, Théorêt Paving Ltée expanded into dump truck snow transportation in Montreal.
  • In 1984, the company was granted its first municipal snow removal contracts.

Over the years, a number of children and family members became involved within the company.

  • In 1989, a new generation of shareholders joined the company. Mr. Laurent Théorêt transferred his shares to sons Michel and Roger Théorêt, and to his son-in-law André Léger. They eventually renamed the company Les Pavages Théorêt Inc.
  • In 1990, the company developed its aqueduct and sewer division.
  • In 2009, a third generation of family shareholders joined the company. Jean Sébastien Théorêt, Marc-David Léger and Hugo Chiasson, all sons of the owners, became involved in business operations.

Les Pavages Théorêt inc. spans three generations and 55 years of experience. What began with a sandpit is now an economic success story in the region, with nearly 50 employees and close to 40 units of specialized heavy machinery.
